Today, I got a rejection notice from Blue Mesa Review. I sent them a short story called "The Last Streetlight to Heaven" (a psychological horror piece, for lack of a better categorization). A few days before, I also got a rejection notice from Jersey Devil Press. I sent them another short story called "Unfathomably Long Time" (which was a weird surrealist fantasy...thing. For lack of a better categorization.)
Today, I got rejected from an online/print publication called Neon. The piece I gave them was a sort of experimentalist flash fiction thing called "Patience" (about a patient in a hospital reminiscing abstractly). I was completely unsurprised that I got rejected from them. I've submitted to them before; don't think this means I won't submit to them again.
